What the site is
The site provides informational and educational elevation maps and statistics derived from public satellite data. It is offered for general interest and reference.
Accuracy and appropriate use
Elevation figures are computed from the Copernicus GLO-30 model, a global surface model sampled about every 30 metres. They are terrain-model estimates accurate to roughly the tens of metres, not survey measurements. Do not rely on the maps or figures for navigation, aviation, engineering, construction, emergency, legal, boundary or financial decisions. The site is provided for information only.
Intellectual property and data licensing
The site’s design, text, page structure and the compiled presentation of the data are © Marko Visic. The underlying data is used under its own open licenses: elevation from Copernicus GLO-30 (ESA), administrative boundaries from geoBoundaries (CC BY 4.0), and place data from Natural Earth and GeoNames where used. Researched facts are attributed to their cited sources. Please credit “3D Elevation Map” and the original data providers if you reference this work.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site in any way that is unlawful, that disrupts or overloads it (including automated scraping that degrades service), or that misrepresents its data as authoritative survey information.
Advertising and third-party links
The site displays third-party advertising and links to external sources. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products or practices. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising data is handled.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site and its data are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marko Visic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its data.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia and the European Union. We may update them from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.
