This Privacy Policy explains what information 3D Elevation Map (“the site”, “we”) collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have. The site is operated by Marko Visic, who acts as the data controller. Questions can be sent to info@3delevationmap.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and our partners record standard technical data when you load a page: your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, the pages you view, the referring page, and the date and time. This is used to serve the site, keep it secure, and understand usage in aggregate.
Cookies and similar technologies. We and our partners use cookies, web beacons, local storage and similar technologies. Some are essential for the site to work; others measure traffic or support advertising (see below). You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may affect how the site works.
Advertising
This site is supported by advertising. Ads are served through Raptive (formerly AdThrive) and its advertising partners, including Google. These partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to measure and serve advertising, including personalized (interest-based) advertising.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we process personal data on these legal bases: your consent for non-essential cookies and personalized advertising (which you can withdraw at any time); and our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the site, and in measuring traffic in aggregate.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority — in Slovenia, the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec).
California residents. Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. Use the advertising opt-out links above, or contact us, to exercise these rights. We do not sell personal information for money.
Data retention, security and transfers
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Server logs and aggregate analytics are retained for a limited period. We take reasonable measures to protect data, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. Some partners (for advertising and analytics) may process data in countries outside the EEA, under appropriate safeguards.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Pages link to external sources (such as data providers and reference material). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their own policies.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new “last updated” date at the top of this page.
